A solar system has three main parts: panels that make power in the day, batteries that store it for the night, and an inverter that turns battery power into the normal power your appliances use.
Step 1: list what you want to run
Write down each appliance, its power in watts and how many hours a day it runs. Lights, fans, TV and a fridge are a common starting point. Air conditioners and electric cookers need a much bigger system.
Step 2: size the inverter
Add up the watts of everything that may run at the same time. Choose an inverter comfortably above that number.
Step 3: batteries and panels
Batteries are sized for how many hours you want backup. Panels are sized to refill the batteries and run your day load. Bring us your list and we will work out a setup with you. You can also pay for it small small.
